Genesis Sprinklers and Water Management, LLC repairs residential and commercial irrigation systems across Sarasota, from downtown, Gulf Gate and the Meadows to Palmer Ranch, Bee Ridge, Siesta Key and Longboat Key. We are a Florida State Certified Irrigation Specialty Contractor (license SCC131152466), based at 5320 Lena Rd Ste 104 in Lakewood Ranch. Irrigation is all we do: sprinkler heads, valves, pipe, wiring, controllers, pumps and wells.
What we repair
- Sprinkler heads and nozzles: broken, tilted, sunken or clogged spray heads and rotors, and nozzles that throw water onto driveways, walls and windows.
- Control valves: zones that will not turn on or will not shut off, failed solenoids and diaphragms, leaking valve manifolds.
- Pipe breaks: leaks in zone lines and the mainline, including breaks under turf, beds and pavers.
- Wiring faults: locating and repairing cut or shorted control wire between the timer and the valves.
- Controllers and sensors: timer replacement and programming, Wi-Fi controllers and rain sensors.
- Pumps and wells: priming, pressure and cycling problems on well and lake-fed systems.
How a repair visit works
Scheduled repairs are done within one week. Emergency service calls are handled the same day, for example a zone that will not shut off or a broken mainline. If a technician will be more than an hour early or late, we contact you.
We answer the phone, and reply to emails and voicemails, the same day.
An irrigation service call is $125 ($195 for a pump service call). It covers the trip and the first 15 minutes of diagnosis. The technician tells you what is wrong and what it will cost before any work starts. Repairs are billed at published flat rates that include parts, labor and a two-year warranty, so the price does not depend on how long the job takes. A return visit under the two-year warranty carries no service-call fee, provided it is a true warranty call.

Keeping it working
A Tune Up ($150 for the first four zones, $30 for each additional zone) resets coverage, replaces up to five nozzles, flags every problem and reprograms the controller with cycle-and-soak watering. For qualifying systems, the Premier Partnership plan ($99 a month for 1–10 zones, $109 for more) includes quarterly service and covers repairs to valves, zone lines, heads and drip at no extra charge. Maintenance plans can be cancelled at any time. See irrigation maintenance, or for communities, HOA and CDD irrigation management.
"Timely, cost-effective, and of high quality.”
“Tave did an excellent job rebuilding the broken valve manifold, completing the task quickly and correctly without taking shortcuts. The work was thorough, including a two-year warranty. After finishing, Tave and team carefully restored the work area, like re-laying the grass, and shared helpful tips on maintaining and tuning the equipment. The service was timely, cost-effective, and of high quality.”

How much does sprinkler repair cost in Sarasota?
Our service call is $125 and covers the trip and the first 15 minutes of diagnosis. Repairs are flat-rate and include parts, labor and a two-year warranty. For example, a spray head is $65, a rotor $85, a valve solenoid $115 and a below-ground pipe break $190. The full list is on our pricing page.
How quickly can you come out?
Scheduled repairs are done within one week. Emergency service calls, such as a zone that will not shut off or a broken mainline, are handled the same day. If a technician will be more than an hour early or late, we contact you.
How quickly do you answer calls, emails and voicemails?
We answer the phone, and reply to emails and voicemails, the same day.
What are the signs my irrigation system needs repair?
Brown or dry patches, soggy spots, water running down the street, heads that do not pop up or spray sideways, a zone that will not turn on or off, and a water bill that jumps without explanation.
Why will one zone not turn on, or not shut off?
It is almost always the zone valve or its wiring: a failed solenoid, a torn diaphragm, debris under the diaphragm, or a broken wire. If a zone will not shut off, close the irrigation shut-off valve or the main water valve until we arrive.
What causes low water pressure in my sprinklers?
A leak or broken pipe, clogged nozzles or filters, a partly closed valve, too many heads on one zone, or, on well and lake systems, a pump that is losing prime or cycling.
Do you repair well and lake pump systems?
Yes. A pump service call is $195. We diagnose priming, pressure and cycling problems and repair or replace pumps, pressure switches and controls.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Flat-rate repairs include a two-year warranty on parts and labor. A return visit under the two-year warranty carries no service-call fee, provided it is a true warranty call.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Genesis Sprinklers and Water Management, LLC is a Florida State Certified Irrigation Specialty Contractor, license SCC131152466. You can verify it on the Florida DBPR license lookup at myfloridalicense.com.
How often should my system be checked?
We recommend a Tune Up every quarter, and at least once a year before the spring dry season, when broken heads and leaks do the most damage to a lawn.
Can I cancel a maintenance plan?
Yes. Maintenance plans can be cancelled at any time.
Do you install smart Wi-Fi sprinkler controllers?
Yes. Adding a Rain Bird Wi-Fi link module is $275, module and installation included. Timer replacement labor is $150 indoors and $250 outdoors plus the timer; a Rain Bird 6-zone indoor timer is $525. Reprogramming an existing timer for efficiency is $75.
Can you find buried valves and broken control wires?
Yes. Locating a buried control valve is $195, and $95 for each additional valve. Locating and repairing a broken control wire is $450 for the first break and $100 for each additional break.
Do you test and repair backflow preventers?
Yes. We test and repair backflow preventers on irrigation systems in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Call (833) 543-6374 for a quote.
