The short answer
Choose a lawn sprinkler contractor that holds a Florida irrigation license, publishes its prices and quotes a new system only after seeing the yard. Genesis designs and installs lawn sprinkler systems in Lakewood Ranch under license SCC131152466, quotes each installation after a site visit, and restores the lawn with its ghost install so it looks as if no digging was done.

Hiring a lawn sprinkler system contractor in Lakewood Ranch
Genesis is based in Lakewood Ranch, at 5320 Lena Road, and installs and repairs lawn sprinkler systems across the community. These are the questions worth asking any contractor, with our answers.
Are you licensed?
Genesis is a Florida State Certified Irrigation Specialty Contractor, license SCC131152466. You can ask any contractor for its license number and check it before you sign.
Are your prices published?
Our repair and service prices are on our price list: a $125 service call, a $150 Tune Up for the first four zones plus $30 for each additional zone, and flat rates for each repair. A new system is quoted after a site visit, because the price depends on the size of the property, the number of zones, the products, the permits, and drip irrigation or a smart controller if you want them.
How will the system be designed?
We design every zone to three rules. Turf and landscape beds are never on the same zone. Spray heads and rotors never share a zone, because they put water down at different rates. Beds are watered with low volume, either drip or Maxi-Jet emitters. Heads are spaced head-to-head, so each one’s spray reaches the next head and one failed head does not leave a section dry. What separates a good system from a bad one.
What will my lawn look like afterward?
We call our method a ghost install. We dig carefully, keep the soil on tarps, install the pipe, valves and heads, and backfill so the lawn looks as it did before we came. The trenches are cut with a two-inch disc trencher rather than a wide chain trencher, which keeps damage to established turf small. The cleanup takes us more time and more care, and it is worth it to the lawn.
Can I run it from my phone?
Every smart system we install comes with a smartphone app, so you can change the schedule from anywhere. Manatee County’s Outdoor Water Conservation Rebate Program pays back part of the cost of qualifying smart controllers and irrigation repairs. How the rebate works.

Questions we hear
How much does a new sprinkler system cost in Lakewood Ranch?
Sprinkler installation is quoted after a site visit, because the price depends on the size of the property, the number of zones, the products, the permits, and drip irrigation or a smart controller if you want them.
What is a ghost install?
It is how Genesis installs a system in an established lawn: careful digging, soil kept on tarps, a narrow two-inch disc trencher, and backfill that leaves the lawn looking as if no digging was done.
What warranty comes with the work?
Repairs are billed at published flat rates that include parts, labor and a two-year warranty, and new systems also carry a two-year warranty.
