At Genesis Sprinklers and Water Management, LLC, we’re more than just an irrigation and water management company—we’re stewards of Southwest Florida’s precious landscapes, driven by a family legacy of innovation, sustainability, and heartfelt service. Founded by Tave Close Sr., MBA, alongside his dedicated partners—wife Heather Close, son Tave Close Jr., and daughter Brooke Close—our Lakewood Ranch-based team transforms coastal and inland properties in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Founded in 2021 and led by Tave Close Sr., with 35+ years in the irrigation industry, and Tave Close Jr., with 10+ years. What started as a passion for efficient water systems has grown into a full-spectrum provider of irrigation design, pond fountains and aeration, preventative maintenance, and more. But at our core, we’re about nurturing the earth and the people who call it home.
Why Genesis exists
Genesis gives 10% of its income, not just its profit, to Kai’Ros International through Summit Bible Center, our partner church in Ellenton. Genesis’s profits fund Kai’Ros House, the home Kai’Ros International operates for orphans in Kumasi, Ghana.
Our Commitment to Conservation
In the sun-soaked, sandy soils of Southwest Florida, water is our lifeblood—and we’re on a mission to protect it. Every project we undertake integrates cutting-edge technology, like custom field diagnostic tools and mobile apps for real-time deficiency reporting, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. We adhere strictly to Florida-Friendly Landscaping principles, Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP), and local regulations from the Southwest Florida Water Management District, ensuring low-impact solutions that combat runoff, support native plants, and prepare landscapes for hurricane resilience. From cycle-and-soak programming on smart controllers to eco-friendly fertilizer applications, we don’t just install systems—we engineer conservation into every drop.
Rooted in Community
As a family-run business, we’re woven into the fabric of our coastal communities. We proudly serve residential gems like the Villas of Papillon and commercial sites across the Suncoast, collaborating with homeowners, HOAs, and businesses to create resilient, beautiful outdoor spaces. Our technicians aren’t just experts; they’re neighbors who volunteer time for local cleanups, educate on water-wise gardening through workshops, and bundle services to make sustainable care accessible. In a region prone to salty air and seasonal storms, we build trust one hydrated lawn at a time, fostering healthier environments for families to thrive. As active members of the Florida Irrigation Society, the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA), and the Manatee Chamber of Commerce—in addition to earning an AAA+ rating from the Better Business Bureau—we’re committed to industry excellence and local collaboration.
Global Outreach: Giving Back Beyond Borders
In 2025 we founded Kai’Ros International. It operates Kai’Ros House, a home for orphans in Kumasi, Ghana, which cares for 26 children today. Each child attends a local private school and receives health care and daily meals. The next step is a school on site that will teach sustainability, business skills and Biblical truth.
Summit Bible Center is a house church in Ellenton with no overhead. It forwards every dollar it receives from Genesis to Kai’Ros International. Learn more about Summit Bible Center.
