HomeSoil Care, Lakewood Ranch, FLSoil Enrichment, Lakewood Ranch, FL

Soil enrichment is part of our soil care for homes, HOAs and commercial properties in Lakewood Ranch and across Manatee and Sarasota Counties. It means testing your soil, then improving it with natural amendments such as compost. Genesis does not apply fertilizer, herbicides or pesticides.

How it works

  1. Test. We test the soil in your lawn and planting beds to see what it needs.
  2. Plan. We tell you what we found and what we recommend, with a price for your property, before any work.
  3. Amend. We work compost and similar natural materials into your beds and spread them over your lawn.
  4. Water to match. We set your sprinkler schedule to how the improved soil takes and holds water.

Why sandy soil benefits

Much of the soil in Manatee and Sarasota Counties is sandy and drains fast. Our turf and soil practices follow UF/IFAS guidance. UF/IFAS notes that organic matter such as compost helps sandy soils hold water and nutrients, which can mean healthier plants and less wasted water.
