Villa of Papillon, Sarasota · Genesis Sprinklers and Water Management, LLC
The problem
Between August 17 and 19, 2026, the mainline on the community’s 42-station irrigation system broke. Systems like this usually run at night, when nobody is around to see water where it shouldn’t be. The flow sensor on the Hunter ACC2 controller recorded 10,686 gallons passing the meter over those days.
What we did
Genesis monitors the controller remotely. On August 19 we saw the abnormal flow and shut the system down from our office, without waiting for a site visit. That stopped the water loss while the break was located. Our crew repaired the mainline on August 26 and put the system back on its normal schedule.
The result
The loss stopped the day it was caught, instead of running until someone noticed soggy ground or a high water bill. Flow monitoring with remote shutdown turns a leak that could run for weeks into one that lasts a few days.
