Pond fountains: $750 for a full report

A floating fountain in a pond or lake cannot be tested properly from the shore. To find out what is wrong, we pull the fountain from the water, clean it, reinstall it and write a full report on what we found and what it will take to fix.

  • The $750 covers the pull, the cleaning, the reinstall and the written report.
  • If you approve the repair, the $750 is credited toward it.
  • The repair itself is quoted from the report, before any repair work starts.

Most pond fountains we see belong to HOAs, CDDs and commercial properties. See our fountain services and HOA and CDD irrigation management.

Residential tower fountains: usually $800 to $1,000

Most home fountains we repair are tiered tower fountains, and the most common failure is the pump. A tower fountain has to be taken apart and rebuilt to reach the old pump and install the new one, usually a 1,350 gallon-per-hour model.

Tower fountain with a failed pump Price
Take the fountain apart, install the new pump and rebuild it $500
New 1,350 gallon-per-hour pump, depending on the model $300 to $500
Total $800 to $1,000

There is no separate charge to diagnose a tower fountain. If the problem turns out to be something other than the pump, we tell you what it is and what it costs before any work starts.

Warranty

Our labor carries a two-year warranty. A new pump carries its manufacturer’s warranty.

Other fountains

Wall fountains, bowl and urn fountains, pondless water features and commercial fountains are quoted for the fountain itself, because their parts and access vary. Call (833) 543-6374 and describe your fountain.

Frequently asked questions

How much does fountain repair cost in Sarasota or Manatee County?

It depends on the type of fountain. A pond fountain is $750 to pull from the water, clean, reinstall and inspect with a full written report, and the $750 is credited toward the repair if you go ahead. A residential tower fountain with a failed pump is usually $800 to $1,000: $500 to take the fountain apart and rebuild it, plus $300 to $500 for the new pump.

Why does a pond fountain cost $750 before the repair?

A floating pond fountain cannot be tested properly from the shore. We pull it from the water, clean it, reinstall it and write a full report on what we found. The $750 covers all of that, and it is credited toward the repair if you approve it.

Why does replacing a pump in a tower fountain cost $500 in labor?

In a tiered tower fountain the pump sits inside the fountain, so the fountain has to be taken apart and rebuilt to reach it and install the new one. The $500 covers that work; the new pump, usually a 1,350 gallon-per-hour model, is $300 to $500 on top.

Is there a separate charge to diagnose a tower fountain?

No. For a residential tower fountain there is no separate diagnosis charge. If the problem turns out to be something other than the pump, we tell you what it is and what it costs before any work starts.

Is fountain work under warranty?

Our labor carries a two-year warranty. A new pump carries its manufacturer’s warranty.

Do you work on other kinds of fountains?

Yes. Wall fountains, bowl and urn fountains, pondless water features and commercial fountains are quoted for the fountain itself, because their parts and access vary. Call (833) 543-6374 and describe it.
